our history
“nothing less than 100% is good enough for us.”
Our team works hard everyday manufacturing high quality lenses to serve specialist needs.
The Manufacturing of medical devices is governed by standards that recommend processes to optimise efficiencies and minimise product failures. These are set out by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) which sets global standards for quality and risk management for a broad range of products and businesses.
The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) sets international standards for all electrical, electronic, and related technologies. In general, ISO concentrates on controls for materials and processes, and IEC concentrates on the manufacturing and testing of products.
Additionally, medical devices are required to adhere by the specific medical device regulations of any country where the device is to be sold.
These regulations ensure contact lenses are manufactured to set tolerances and the materials and the design meet safety standards. Manufacturers are regularly audited to ensure they are following all regulations.
